When organizing a festival, there are many things to remember throughout the year. In order to maintain an overview and ensure a natural and efficient workflow, we decided to collect everything in a yearbook. We have an indispensable companion that keeps everything on track and ensures that everything runs smoothly: the Wheel of the Year.

The image of the Year's Wheel appears in front of you as a playful circle, just like a classic wall clock, and it is the symbol of the entire festival's annual journey. Inside the wheel, various circles spin around, each of them pointing to who is responsible for the exciting tasks in the working groups. This is our own little secret to maintain the ultimate overview and create a smooth flow in our work.

The wheel of the year is like an invaluable treasure chest when it comes to discovering connections and making connections between the various groups. It gives us a bird's eye view of the festival's structure and ensures that all the wheels spin in perfect harmony.

The so-called "Karlsøyåret" begins in a soft and dreamy style from 1 September each year, where we first slowly and then faster and faster build up the excitement to the ultimate highlight: the Karlsøy Festival! This wonderful event is in full bloom at the beginning of August. That's when music fills the air, laughter rings out, and the festival atmosphere melts into an irresistible dance of happiness and joy on Karlsøy in Troms.
